A morning by the water: Lanark Loch

It may only be Sunday afternoon, but it certainly feels like a Monday today.  Our weekend started early since the Mister was working yesterday, but had Friday and Saturday off.   

When we woke up to blue skies on Friday morning we knew we wanted to make the most of it and quickly opted for a morning in the sun at Lanark Loch.

A crispy treat

When the Master demanded cake this morning, I thought it would be fun for us all to make a sweet treat together.

Lazy leftovers soup

At least once a week I seek out those bits and bobs lurking about the bottom of our fridge.  This often results in a 'mishmash' dinner and a portion or two of soup for lunches throughout the week. 

I'm a big soup fan.  

Not only because I like soup (lucky that), but it's something you can let simmer away and forget about, at least for a while, and it's a sneaky way of getting veg into little tummy's.

These are the sorry little souls I found in the fridge when I was cleaning it out during the weekend.

Last week's frugal ways

Banana and chocolate muffins were made when I noticed we had a couple of bananas lurking in the fruit bowl which were a tad too overripe for our liking.
